One free successful generation after sign-in, shared across our design tools — not a daily refill. You upload a photo of your own room and get a redesign back; leave furniture removal off and your existing furniture stays as the starting point. We don't link to shoppable products, so if buying the exact sofa in the render matters to you, the next two tools do that better.

Best for: Seeing a piece in your room and purchasing it.
Its first generation is free and needs no card, and it goes further than most on the shopping side: furniture comes from IKEA, Amazon and Wayfair with price comparison across stores, so you can see a piece in your room and buy it. It also covers floor plans to 3D and video walkthroughs. The trade-off is that the free allowance is a single generation, and its own page doesn't say whether it preserves furniture you already own.

Free plan with unlimited projects, though only about half the furniture catalog; Premium is $19.99/month. It's the one here built around drawing: floor plans, whole-home 3D, and an AI Studio that bills per model and credit. If you're photographing a room you already live in and want a redesigned image back, this is a heavier path than you need.

Best for: Real estate staging, especially many listings at once.
Five free designs with no card, then $14–$99/month. Its credit system is unusually clear: generating a design costs one credit, and adding real shoppable products costs two — chatting and exploring ideas is free. Listing batch processing and reference photos sit on the Pro tier and up, which makes it the strongest of the six for real estate work at volume.

The simplest of the six: one photo in, a redesigned room out. Its homepage doesn't publish plan details or pricing, so check before you commit to it as your main tool.

For redesigning one room from a photo, the photo-first tools are the shortest path: JanvAI and RoomGPT each return a redesigned room from a single upload, and JanvAI can keep your existing furniture when furniture removal is left off. Planner 5D and Homestyler are built for whole-home plans, which is more than a single room needs.
Some can. JanvAI keeps your existing furniture when you leave furniture removal off, and REimagineHome states that room structure can be preserved. Planner 5D's AI Studio redraws scenes at points you set. MeltFlex, Homestyler and RoomGPT do not state on their own sites whether existing furniture is preserved, so we list them as "Not stated" rather than guessing.
For staging listings at volume, REimagineHome is the strongest of the six: five free designs to start, listing batch processing on the Pro tier and up, and real shoppable products included from Pro.
